What to Expect

 

Refuge Church is about being a Real People serving the Real God in Real Life. So often the church has become a place of unrealistic expectations of others. We believe that God has called us as we are, to become what he is crafting us into. People at The Refuge come from all different backgrounds both culturally and experientially. Moms, Singles, Couples, Professionals, Students, Young familes, and more.

 

 

 

What it's Like

Our Sunday worship service is an experience designed to equip and inspire adults to live life as their heavenly Father designed it to be lived.  We are passionate about sharing the love of Christ by caring for each other and positively impacting our community.  All experiences at The Refuge are comprised of the two primary elements: powerful worship and a life-changing message.

We love good music.  You'll enjoy lively modern music relevant to our culture, as well as videos, all with the purpose of connecting you in a very real way to the heart of God. You'll also hear practical Biblical messages that you will find applicable to everyday life. So plan on coming and just slipping into a seat, and know you won't be asked to do anything other than have an open mind!

What to Wear

Come as you are. We believe God cares more about the state of our hearts rather than our externals. We're all about being authentic and real with each other in order to sincerely pursue God. So dress casually and join us in comfort!

 

What to do with the Kids

 

At The Refuge, we are proud to offer a safe, clean, fun, educational, high quality kids' program.  Kids, ages 4 to 9 years, will have a blast in Kidz Konstruction each week!  When you come in the front doors, a greeter can assist you with either Kidz Konstruction or our nursery which is available on Sunday morning. We want you to relax in the adult service knowing that your children are safe and having fun as they are creatively and lovingly taught about God's truths and how they relate to friendships, parents, classmates, and character.

 

 

What about Midweek Service

 

Our Wednesday evening experience offers something for everyone in the family. Little Sweethearts focuses on our youngest attendees, those two years of age through K5.  The Clubhouse offers an exciting time for those in first thru fifth grades. 

 

Catalyst, our student ministry, is divided into two age-appropriate groups: C4 is for grades six through eight, while Catalyst is for Freshman in high school thru age 19.

 

 

What about Sunday School

At The Refuge, we look at things a little differently, therefore, we offer Word Power at 9:45 on Sunday morning.  It's not your grandmother's Sunday school. Word Power is set up in semesters, similar to a typical school year.  We usually begin the Sunday following Labor Day and conclude the semester a week or two before Christmas.  We resume again in January and go through the week prior to Memorial Day. 

Word Power is also designed with age specific curriculum so that everyone has something that is of interest to them.
